What Are Dropdowns?
You’ve seen dropdowns everywhere—on websites, apps, and online forms. The concept is simple: you click a dropdown and select the right option.
Templi works the same way when writing reports. You define a set of options, and Templi automatically selects the most appropriate one based on the context.
Instead of letting Templi generate text freely, Dropdowns allow you to predefine all possible options, ensuring greater control and consistency in your reports.

Types of Dropdowns
The two types of Dropdowns available in Templi are:
Inline Dropdown (simply called “Dropdown” in Templi)
Section Dropdown
The names are self-explanatory:
Inline Dropdowns are used for smaller text elements, such as a word or phrase.
Section Dropdowns allow you to replace entire paragraphs or sections of your report.

How to Create a Dropdown
Creating a dropdown is straightforward:
Go to Insert
Select Dropdown or Dropdown Section
Fill in the options one by one
Add AI context (so Templi knows when to use each option)
