Find out how to leave notes on on-site assets, from within the Dashboard, for your team to share information

You're able to leave notes on asset-planned locations that relate to the specific asset. This is so you and your team can share important information about site assets or site information to maintain safety and efficiency for your rail projects.

For example:

  • Label specific locations to identify points

  • Write a note on a specific location to pin-point hazardous areas such as Japanese knotweed

  • Leave notes for your planners or project reviewers during the approval process

  • Document the make and model of a RRV


Who can leave notes on planned and live asset locations?

Live location notes: users with the "Manage projects devices" permission can add and edit notes for live locations, this includes the default roles:

  • Super admin

  • Site manager

Planned location notes: users with the "Edit sites" permission can add and edit notes for planned locations, this includes the default roles:

  • Super admin

  • Planner

How to leave notes on planned and live asset locations?

  1. Log on to the Tended Dashboard

  2. Find your project and click "View project"

  3. Locate the planned or live asset icon you want to leave a note on and click on it

  4. A side panel will display from the left of the screen, click in the "Notes" section and type your note

  5. View pre-existing notes here

  6. OR, leave a note

    1. Click in the notes section and type out your note
