In this article, you can find info on how to check your devices are fit for use and what are the common signs that devices should be returned to Tended and replaced.
Device checks
Tended devices are built to be robust and withstand the environment they're deployed in. However, occasionally, devices can become damaged and may need to be replaced.
Check the devices are suitable to use:
β Visibly undamaged
β LEDs (lights) in full working order
β Audio alerts emitted correctly
β Buttons working correctly (should be springy and not stick)
Please note: some usual ware and tare is expected due to the environment devices are deployed within. Scratched and marks that do not affect the device's composition do not need to be reported to Tended.
Contact Tended for a replacement device if:
π« Visible damage to device/antenna i.e. dents
π« Cracked or split device casing
π« Cracked device screen
π« Speaker damage - noticeable change in audio alerts
π« LED issues
π« Buttons severely worn down and difficult to use
Other equipment checks
Contact Tended's Support team with any questions about equipment damage and maintenance.
Charging equipment: regularly check charging cables, anchor hub and charging case for signs of damage.
Attachments: swap out any device attachments that have visible signs of damage.
