Before you can use your device on-site you'll need to connect it to your site's safe zone information from the Tended Dashboard.

Device LEDs
Please see the below diagram of the three indicator LEDs on the device:
Get started with your device
Please note:
You should be outside with a clear view of the sky when turning the device on. It will not work inside buildings or under tunnels/covers.
Your site will need to be started on the Dashboard before devices can connect.
Turn on the device by holding down the left-hand button for 3 seconds.
The device will play a short audio alert as it turns on.
The battery LED (A) will then light up and the connectivity LED (C) will start to flash.
Wait for the connectivity LED (C) to stop flashing.
The positioning LED (B) will then start to flash.
Wait for the positioning LED (B) to stop flashing.
The Positioning LED (B) will then start to fade blue in and out and two short beeps will sound every minute.*
Your device is connected and waiting to enter a safe zone for the first time.
Attach your device and enter the safe zone. The enter safe zone alert will sound.
All three LEDs (A, B and C) are solid green, the Device has connected to all safe zones and is ready to use.
*If you turn on your device while inside a live safe zone, your device will skip this step and have 3 solid green LEDs.

How to turn off your device
Turn off the device by holding down the left-hand button for 3 seconds.
The device will play a short audio alert as it turns off and no lights will show on the device.
