About Groups on the Dashboard

Find out how to organise your Dashboard users into groups

New feature: now access all your organisations projects in one Dashboard - no need for multiple Dashboard accounts!

The Groups feature on the Dashboard ensures users see only the projects and data relevant to their role, keeping their workspace focused and efficient.

  • Focused access: Users only see the projects and information that matters to them

  • Reduced clutter: Helps keep the Dashboard organized and easy to navigate

  • Improved efficiency: Teams can work faster without sifting through unrelated data

Please note: only users with Superadmin or Admin default roles, or a custom role containing "Manage groups" permission, can create, edit and manage groups.


How to create a new group or subgroup

Please note:

  • A user assigned to the Group or "Parent group" can view all projects within its sub groups

  • A user assigned to a sub group can only view projects associated with the sub group

  1. Log-in to the Tended Dashboard and head to the "Users tab"

  2. Click on the "Groups" tab, then click "Create group"

  3. Type in the group name and description. Click "Create group"

  4. You'll see the group is now visible. From here, click "Add sub group" to create a sub group

  5. Type in the group name, description and choose the sub group's parent group from the drop down. Click "Create group"

  6. Groups and sub groups will show clearly on the groups tab


How to add users to groups and subgroups

  1. Hover over the group or subgroup you want to add users too, click "Manage"

  2. Click "Add user"

  3. And select users from the drop-down menu to add to the group or subgroup


How to edit and delete groups

  1. Hover over the group or subgroup you want to edit/delete, click "Manage"

  2. From the settings tab, edit the group name, parent group, description or delete the group


How to view projects within different groups in your Dashboard?

  1. Log-in to the Dashboard

  2. Click "Filter" at the top of the projects table

  3. From here, toggle on and off the groups you want to see

πŸ’‘ Don't see the project's you need? Make sure your filtering the correct groups or contact your Dashboard's Super Admin to check you're assigned to the correct groups.
