How to access last known device details

Find out how Dashboard users can view information about individual devices

In this article, find out how key Dashboard users can access details about individual Tended devices, including their last known location and assignment info.

This information may help with investigations, reporting or simply support locate a lost device.

What last known details are available in the Dashboard?

Please note: last known device details are accurate at the last time the device has cellular connection. Some details will be lost of a device is unassigned from an organisation's Dashboard.

  • Project assignment - name of the last project the device was assigned to

  • Site assignments - name of the last site the device was assigned to

  • Device mode - last known device mode, either Asset or Wearable

  • Asset type - if applicable, the last known asset type assigned. i.e. "RRV"

  • Last known location - coordinates of the last reported device location

  • Firmware version - devices firmware version number

  • Battery level - devices last known battery percentage


Who can access last known device details?

Users with the following default user role can access the last known device details:

  • Super admin

And, users with a custom role containing the following permission can access the last known device details:

  • Manage organisation devices


How to access last known device details

  1. Log onto the Tended Dashboard

  2. Click on the "Settings" tab at the top of the screen

  3. Click on the "Devices" tab

  4. From the device list, locate the device ID you want to view details for

  5. Click the "Details" button

  6. A modal will pop up with the last known device details
