The RAG view gives you a live, at-a-glance overview of how your on-site assets are behaving i.e. speeding and location. You'll need to be using Tended devices in asset mode to use the RAG feature.
๐ฆ Read about the RAG feature below, or click here to head straight to our 'how-to' guide.
About the RAG view
Attach your Tended devices to on-site assets, and the RAG view on the Dashboard will give you visibility of your equipment and machinery such as marker boards, trolleys, OTP and OTM. You'll easily be able to view live locations of assets for a better overview of your site and safety.
You can now acknowledge and approve alerts in the RAG, then access a full timeline of your assets alert history for your project. Learn more about managing alerts.
For example:
Get alerted if a trolley has exited a safe zone
Be warned when OTP is speeding
Acknowledge RAG alerts inline with your asset movement processes
The RAG view on the Dashboard has different 'tiles' that represent each of your on-site assets. These tiles show you the asset's status and are either red, green or amber depending on the asset status.
You can click on a tile to show more information about the asset, including live location and alert history. From here, you can acknowledge and approve alerts.
About managing RAG alerts and alert history
When an alert is triggered on the RAG view, the corresponding tile will change to amber or red, clearly indicating the type of alert โ for example, speeding or exiting a safe zone.
In line with your existing asset movement processes, you can acknowledge and approve these alerts directly from the RAG.
Please note: Alerts do not need to be acknowledged in the RAG view. Please follow your organisation's guidance for managing alerts.
If a tile has active alerts that havenโt been acknowledged or approved, an icon will appear in the corner of the tile showing the number of unacknowledged alerts. This allows you to easily stay on top of all asset movements, even if you need to review alerts later in your shift.
For example: you need to step away from the Dashboard to take a call, you can return and quickly see which assets/devices triggered alerts while you were away and acknowledge them later.
A complete alert timeline for each asset is available in the "Alert history" section within its tile, allowing you to review all activity in detail.
โ ๏ธ Please note:
Alert history for a device will remain in the RAG tile even if the device is unassigned from the project, and reassigned to the same project.
If the device is unassigned from the project, and reassigned to another project, alert history is no longer available.
Why acknowledge an alert?
To log that you've seen the alert; document in the notes section if action is needed or was taken
So you can keep on top of asset alerts and maintain good visibility over your site
Why approve an alert?
To approve actions such as points movements; after receiving a call from the Machine Operator, record the movement approval in the notes section
What information does the RAG display?
RAG view gives you an at-a-glance overview of the following:
Asset exited or close to the edge of the safe zone
Asset's closest ELR, miles and chains*
Distance to safe zone edge

*ELR info only displayed within 10 metres of the nearest rail track
What do the RAG alerts mean?
The RAG view shows you on-screen tiles that correspond to your on-site assets. These tiles show you the asset's information and are either red, green or amber depending on the asset status.
Please note: some RAG features are not supported by all firmware versions. Please get in touch with our customer support team for more information via the details below.
