Application Document Permissions in Thalamus Core

Determine which application documents Program Interviewers can access by managing Document Permissions within Thalamus Core.

1. Enable document permissions

Important: If you attempt to leave the screen before saving, a pop-up will

appear warning you that unsaved changes will be lost.

  1. When logged into Thalamus Core navigate to the Settings gear icon and select User Management

  2. Select the Document Permissions tab to view the list of document permissions. All documents that can come through an ERAS application will be listed individually within this list

  3. Programs can toggle the Document Permission “off” by clicking on the toggle in the Show column for each document type. When a Permission is disabled, the toggle will appear gray

  4. Once all changes have been made click the Save button in the right-hand corner. A pop-up will appear if changes are not saved prior to leaving the screen

Note: Program Residents and Program Fellows do not have document-viewing capabilities regardless of Document Permission settings.

2. Edit document permissions

All application documents will default to On within Thalamus Core, meaning Program Interviewers will be able to view all uploaded documents. An enabled toggle will appear teal in the Show column.

When a change is made to a Document Permission:

  • A yellow dot will appear to the left of the toggle

  • The total number of changed permissions will update in the top right corner

  • The Permissions Last Modified column will show when, and by whom, the permission was last changed
