1. Account Requirements
You must have an existing paid Zoom account that can accommodate your interview day.
Important: If you are planning to use breakout rooms during your interview day, do not integrate Zoom with Thalamus. Integrating will create a separate Zoom link for each session.
The Authorizing Account must meet the following requirements:
Any licensed Zoom account can authorize the app once it is listed on the Zoom Marketplace
The account must have Admin Privileges to automatically allow sub-accounts to authorize the app
Alternatively, the Zoom Administrator may pre-approve the Thalamus app by following the instructions under How to Pre-Approve Individual Apps
If the app is pre-approved, any Program Director, Administrator, or Coordinator may complete the installation and authorization process
If your Zoom Administrator cannot pre-approve the app, the Zoom Administrator must be added as a user for your program in Thalamus to complete installation
2. Authorize Zoom
Log in to Thalamus with a permission level that can edit program settings
Program Administrator
Program Coordinator
Program Director
Open Program Settings from the gear icon and scroll to Interview Settings
Select Edit to enable configuration changes
Navigate to Video Software, select Zoom, then select Authorization, Login
If you are not logged in to Webex, you will be prompted to log in
Select Accept to allow the application to access your account
You will be returned to the Program Dashboard
Alternate Installation PathYou may also access the Thalamus Zoom app directly from the Zoom Marketplace:

3. Create a Virtual Interview Session
Create a new session in Thalamus using the Zoom app
Follow the steps in Building Applicant Itineraries and Event Sessions to create a new session, or use Using the Itinerary Wizard to Build Your Interview Day Automatically
When choosing your session location, select Virtual Interview (Zoom)
Save the session with any additional information as desired
Note: Thalamus will then create a Zoom link for this session in the itinerary builder. If you are using the Itinerary Wizard, Zoom will build a link for each session.
4. Zoom API limits
Zoom sets specific limits on creating and updating events through the API.
You cannot create or update more than 100 meetings for a user in a single day
If concurrent requests (GET, DELETE, PATCH, POST, PUT) are made on a single resource, the request may fail and return a 429 HTTP status code
Note: A concurrent rate limit error can occur in rare cases, such as when the app makes multiple requests in a short interval to disassociate a user from your account. In this scenario, you will receive the message: "Too many concurrent requests. A request to disassociate this user has already been made."
5. Uninstall the Zoom app
Log in to your Zoom account and navigate to the Zoom Marketplace
Select Manage > Installed Apps, or search for the Thalamus app
Select the Thalamus app
Select Uninstall
On the Program page in Thalamus, change the selected virtual interview type at the bottom of the page to Virtual Interview (Manual)
