InKind Integration Features

InKind provides an innovative solution for Toast customers, providing a “house account” to their guests, where guests download the InKind app, purchase credits from the restaurant, and use those credits when paying for checks during on-premises visits. InKind helps incentivize higher guest spending, generates new business via InKind’s marketing, and provides a unique lending/capital solution, to enable Toast customers to continue to thrive.

Enable the InKind Integration in Toast Web

To enable InKind with Toast, your restaurant must have access to Toast Partner Integrations to add this integration. To learn more about Toast Partner Integrations, see this Support Center article: Set Up Toast Partner Integrations.

  1. In Toast Web, navigate to Integrations > Integrations management > Browse & purchase integrations.

  2. Enter InKind in the Search field and select Add Now.

  3. Review the data scope visibility terms and conditions and select Confirm to accept. For more information, see the Data Scope Visibility article. If you have multiple locations, select from the drop-down menu.

  4. Once completed, a representative from InKind will contact you to assist you with the onboarding process. The onboarding process may take up to 30 days and varies depending on your requirements. We recommend that you reach out to InKind directly to confirm the receipt of your integration request.

Configure the InKind Integration in Toast Web

In order to complete the integration process, you will need to have an Other Payment Option set up in Toast Web. Check out this Support Center article to learn more: Set Up Other Payment Options. We highly recommend that you work with the InKind Support team to ensure your menus and settings work to specification within InKind and Toast.
