Cash Management Steps
Step 1: Grant Cash Management Permissions to Managers
To update a manager's permissions so they have access to cash management functions, follow these steps:
In Toast Web, navigate to Employees > Employee management > Jobs. Select the manager Job Title that needs updating.
If you simply want to update a single employee to add permissions, navigate to Employees > Employee management > Employees and then select the pencil icon beside the employee's name.
Ensure the following permissions are enabled:
Under POS Access
Cash Drawer Access
No Sale
Under Manager
Shift Review
Close Out Day
Cash Management (Full)
Cash Drawer Lockdown (Override)
Adjust Cash Drawer Start Balance
Pay Out
Step 2: Set Up Your Cash Drawer
Depending on your Toast Onboarding process, you may need to be hands-on in configuring how exactly cash flow is tracked through your cash drawers. Get started by reading Set Up Cash Drawers. Step 5: Lock a Cash Drawer to an Employee (Optional)
