Once you've added a property to Tourmie, the next step is to complete the content that will build your Guest Guide — a personalized, all-in-one guide for your guests. This content ensures that your guests have all the information they need for a seamless, enjoyable stay.

📝 Before You Start:

If you already have a property manual in PDF format, you can upload it in the Property Manual section. Tourmie will automatically extract key information—such as check-in/check-out instructions, house rules, and appliance guides—and fill in the relevant fields for you.

Additionally, if you’ve imported your property from Airbnb or a Channel Manager/PMS, some fields may already be pre-filled. We recommend carefully reviewing and updating each section to ensure all content is accurate, complete, and up to date.

1. Property Details

This is where you'll add the core information about your property.

  • Property Name: Enter the name of your property (e.g., "The Elysian Villa").

  • Internal Name: Optional name used for internal reference only (e.g., "Villa 01")

  • Category & Subcategory: Choose what best describes your property

  • WiFi Name: Enter the name of the Wi-Fi network guests should use to connect (e.g., "Elysian Villa").

  • WiFi Password: Provide the Wi-Fi password for guest access.

2. Descriptions

Make a strong first impression and help guests understand what makes your space special:

  • Welcome Message: Write a warm, personal message for your guests. This message is shown at the top of your guest guide.

📌 Tip: Use the plural form for a more professional tone, and keep the message short yet personal.

e.g. Welcome to our home in Santorini – we hope you enjoy every moment of your stay!

  • Short Description: Write a brief sentence highlighting your property’s best features, keeping it clear, attractive, and focused on the benefits.

📌 Tip: You can adapt the Airbnb summary or Booking.com's intro text that highlights your property's key features.

e.g. Get ready to experience luxury at its finest in our modern villa in Oia, Santorini. With breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea, your villa features 4 spacious bedrooms, an infinity pool, and luxury amenities. Perfectly designed for privacy and comfort, our villa offers a serene sanctuary to relax and enjoy the beauty of Santorini in style.

  • Full description: Write a more detailed overview of your property, including atmosphere, layout, and standout features.

📌 Tip: You can adapt the full description from your Airbnb or Booking.com listing here.

e.g. The villa boasts 4 spacious bedrooms, each designed with comfort and privacy in mind. Each room offers plush bedding, stylish décor, and ample space, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. The open-plan living area features a cozy lounge and dining area, perfect for socializing or enjoying quiet moments while taking in the views. The fully equipped kitchen provides all the modern amenities you need to prepare meals at your convenience.

  • Other important information: Share any extra tips or important notes guests should be aware of during their stay.

📌 Tip: You can use Airbnb’s “Other things to note” section or any extra info you typically share with guests before arrival.

e.g. Tap water is not drinkable – we recommend using bottled water.

3. Location

Set your property's exact location by entering the street address, dropping a pin on the map, or using latitude and longitude coordinates.

  • Directions: Provide clear instructions on how to reach the property — especially useful if GPS isn’t reliable.

📌 Tip: You can adapt your arrival instructions from Airbnb or automated messages.

e.g. From the airport, take the main road to Oia and turn left at the pharmacy…

  • About the area: Help guests get to know the local area — what's nearby, what to explore, and what makes it special. You can include must-see spots, local culture, nature, dining, or things to do nearby.

📌 Tip: You can base this on your Airbnb area description or guest tips.

e.g. Quiet neighborhood just minutes away from local taverns, shops, and historic sights.

  • Local transport: Explain how guests can get around – buses, taxis, car rentals, or even walking. Mention nearby stops or how to book a ride.

📌 Tip: You can adapt info from your manual or OTA listing transport section.

e.g. Bus stop 3 minutes away. Taxi service available via the guest app.

4. Media

  • Images: Upload up to 50 images per property. Each must be under 8 MB and no larger than 2560×1440 px. Include at least 5 essential photos: exterior, bedroom, living room, bathroom, and key amenities.

  • Videos: Add a walkthrough video to give guests a better feel of your space.

📌 Tip: Even a short, unedited video from your phone can make a big difference — especially if it shows the entrance or the exterior of the property.

5. Check-in & Check-out

  • Check-in instructions: Provide the check-in time and clear instructions on how guests can access the property. You can also add helpful visuals like photos or a video to make the process even easier.

📌 You can adapt the information from your Airbnb arrival guide.

e.g. Check-in is available after 15:00. Use the door code 4521 on the smart lock. The entrance is on the left side of the building — look for the blue gate.

  • Check-out instructions: Add the check-out time and any instructions for departure (e.g. where to leave keys or reminders before leaving).

📌 Tip: You can adapt the information you include in your Airbnb check-out message.

e.g. Check-out by 11:00. Leave keys on the kitchen table. Close all windows and doors.

  • Parking instructions: Tell guests where to park, how to access parking, and any rules or fees. Especially useful for properties in city centers or remote locations.

e.g. Free public parking 100m from the property. Follow the “Public Parking” signs next to the bakery.

  • Luggage Storage: Let guests know if they can store luggage before check-in or after check-out, and where.

e.g. You can store your luggage at the front desk before check-in and after check-out, or use the nearby luggage service 2 minutes from the property.

6. Amenities & Appliances

  • Amenities: Select the facilities your property offers (e.g. pool, A/C, heating).

  • Appliance Instructions: Add brief guidance for using key items like washing machines or coffee makers.

📌 Tip: Keep it simple and clear. These instructions help guests use your amenities with confidence and without needing to ask questions.

e.g. Washing Machine: To start a wash, open the detergent drawer on the top left and add detergent. Select your desired program using the dial (e.g. “Cotton 40°” for everyday clothes), then press the Start button.
Please do not overload the machine or use bleach.

e.g. Coffee Maker: Fill the water tank at the back, place a capsule in the compartment, and press the central button to start brewing. Extra capsules are in the drawer next to the sink.

7. Policies & Rules

  • House Rules: List important rules guests should follow.

e.g. No smoking inside. Quiet hours after 10:00 p.m.

  • Policies: Add any additional rules or conditions that apply to your property, such as pet policies, smoking restrictions, or age limits.

📌 Tip: Refer to your existing listing for pet, smoking, and other restrictions.

e.g. Pets allowed upon request. Children under 12 must be supervised at the pool.

8. FAQs

A: Yes, both are available upon request. Please let us know in advance so we can have them ready for your arrival.

Q: How do we use the air conditioning?
A: Use the remote control located near the bed or on the wall. Make sure all windows are closed for optimal cooling.

Q: Is smoking allowed on the property?
A: Smoking is not allowed indoors, but you may smoke on the balcony or terrace. Please use the ashtrays provided.

Q: How do we get to the airport or port?
A: We can arrange a transfer for you upon request. Alternatively, there’s a taxi station nearby and a public bus that runs every hour.

9. Certificates & Awards

  • Certificates: Upload any official documents that add credibility to your property.

  • Awards: Highlight recognitions like Superhost, Guest Review Awards, etc.

💡 Final Tip:

The more complete and personalized your Guest Guide is, the more confident and satisfied your guests will feel throughout their stay.
