Adding a property to Tourmie is the first step in creating a Guest Guide. This article will walk you through the simple process of adding a new property, ensuring you provide all the essential details to create an attractive and comprehensive guide for your guests.

Let’s get started with creating your first property!

Understand Properties

What is a Property in Tourmie?

A property in Tourmie represents a place where guests will stay—such as a villa, hotel, apartment, or any other type of accommodation. It serves as your central hub for managing the guest experience and is directly linked to a Guest Guide, which provides all key information your guests need.

How Properties and Guest Guides Work Together

When you add a property to Tourmie, a Guest Guide is automatically generated and linked to it. This guide includes essential guest information, such as:

  • Location details

  • Check-in/check-out instructions

  • Amenities and facilities

  • House rules and policies

  • Wi-Fi and appliance guides

Creating a New Property

You can add a property in one of three ways:

1. Import from Airbnb

Already listed on Airbnb? Save time by importing your property:

  • Go to Properties and click “Import from Airbnb“.

  • Choose your preferred import method and follow the instructions.

2. Import from your Channel Manager/PMS

To connect your Channel Manager or PMS with Tourmie and import your properties:

Can’t find yours? Contact us – we’re happy to help!

3. Add Manually

Don’t have an Airbnb listing or a Channel Manager/PMS? No problem! You can manually add your property by following these steps:

  1. Go to Properties and click "Add new".

  2. Select your property category and type.

  3. Fill in essential details:

    • Property name

    • Location

    • Check-in and check-out times

    • Property photo

    • Wi-Fi name and password

Once you've entered these essential details, your property will be created and automatically linked to a personalized Guest Guide.

Property Information Fields

After adding a property, you’ll need to fill out several key fields that will be used to create a comprehensive Guest Guide. These fields help ensure that your guests have all the important information they need for a smooth and enjoyable stay.

Note: If you’ve imported a property from Airbnb or your Channel Manager/PMS, some fields may already be pre-filled. Be sure to review and update the details.

• Property Details

Enter your property's basic details, such as the name, category, and location.

• Essential Information

Include essential information about your guest's stay, such as check-in and check-out procedures, Wi-Fi codes, house rules, and instructions on using appliances or finding parking.

✨ Tip: You can save time by uploading your property manual in PDF format in the "Property manual" section. Tourmie’s system will automatically extract key details from the manual and populate the related guide fields.

• Multimedia

Upload high-quality photos to create a great first impression.

✨ Tip: Add photos to instructional sections, like check-in and appliance instructions, to help guests better understand the process.

When finished, click Update to save.

You’ve now completed the core of your Guest Guide—everything your guests need for a smooth stay.

Property Customization

Once your basic property info is added, you can customize how your Guest Guide looks and works.

1. Set Up Your Brand Identity

Customizing your guest guide with your property’s brand identity is essential for strengthening recognition and building trust with guests. When guests see your logo and brand colors, they feel more comfortable opening and trusting your guide.

In the Branding section, you can:

  • Add your logo: Upload your property’s logo to appear in your guide.

  • Set your brand colors: Customize the guide’s colors to match your property’s branding.

In the property page, you can customize branding for a specific property only. To apply a consistent look across all properties, use global branding from Settings.

You can also:

Connect your domain: Replace Tourmie’s default URL with your domain (e.g. www.example.com).
Connect your business email: Send emails to guests from your email address (e.g. info@example.com).

2. Add Language Options

Support guests in their preferred language.

  • Go to Settings > Account, select your preferred content languages, and click Update.

  • Then go back to your property, select the language you want to add, and fill in the property details in the selected language.

3. Secure Sensitive Information

Control what your guests see on their guest guide. In the Locked fields section, you can lock sensitive information and make it accessible to your guests only at a specific time before or after their arrival time.

Note: The field locking works on guest guides that are connected to an accommodation booking.

To lock a field:

  • Find the field you want to lock (e.g. Check-in instructions).

  • Set the unlock time (e.g. 1 hour before arrival).

After you lock a field, it will only be visible to your guests at the specific time you set before or after their arrival.

In the property page, you can define which fields will be locked for a specific property only. If you want to apply general settings across all your properties, go to Locked fields.

4. Customize Area Map Places

In the Points of Interest section, you can customize the area map for each property after you've added places to it. Select or exclude places based on your property’s location and your target guests’ interests.

Property View Options

The Properties page supports two different view modes, so you can manage your properties more efficiently based on your needs and portfolio size:

1. Grid View

A visual layout with property cards, showing key information and a photo, allowing you to quickly recognize each property at a glance. Ideal for hosts managing a small number of properties.

2. Table View

A compact, searchable table layout, designed for easy navigation and bulk management. Recommended for hosts managing multiple properties or rooms.

Additional Information Per Property

Whether you're using Grid View or Table View, you can instantly see the following details for each property:

  • Number of bookings made for the property.

  • Guest Guide views, showing how many times guests have opened the guide.

  • Guest Guide completion percentage, helping you quickly identify which guides may need additional content.

Edit, Duplicate or Delete a Property

From the Properties page, you can easily manage each property using the quick actions menu (⋮) on the property card.

  • Edit: Update your property details, such as name, type, amenities, Wi-Fi info, and more.

  • Duplicate: Create a new property based on an existing one. This copies all the current property details so you can quickly set up another similar listing without starting from scratch.

  • Delete: Remove a property from your account.

⚠️ Important Note: Deleting a property will also permanently delete the connected Guest Guide.

Preview & Share your Guide

Make the most of your Guest Guide by sharing it and delivering it to guests at the right moments. Here are all the ways you can give your guests quick and easy access to their guide—before, during, and even after their stay.

  • Guest Guide Preview: Preview how the guest guide will appear to your guests — directly from the property page.

  • Copy Guide Link: Share your guide by copying the link with one click. Ideal for email, live chat, WhatsApp, and more.

  • Download QR Code: Download the unique QR code for your guide and place it in your property, printed materials, or communications so guests can access it instantly with a scan.

  • Create automated messages (Recommended): Set up automated messages on Tourmie or through your booking channels (such as Airbnb and Booking.com) to send your guide at various stages of your guests’ stay.

✨ Tip: With Tourmie's automated messages, you can easily send each guest their personalized guide, tailored with their booking details.

What's Next?

Take your Guest Guide to the next level by personalizing it with extra value:

  • Add local recommendations: Highlight nearby attractions, must-try restaurants, and hidden gems to help guests explore the area like a local.

  • Promote your own services: Offer in-house services like breakfast, spa treatments, or private tours? Showcase them directly in your Guest Guide to boost visibility and increase bookings.

  • Connect with Tourmie’s partner network: Expand your offerings by connecting with trusted local providers. Give guests access to services like airport transfers, car rentals, and tours—while you earn commission on every booking.

  • Enable guest requests: Make it easy for guests to contact you with special requests or preferences before and during their stay.

The more relevant and complete your guide is, the more confident and satisfied your guests will feel throughout their stay.
