Adding SSO Links to your MembersFirst Calendar

Updated over 4 months ago

This feature is only available with the following products:

Once you have SSO set up with MembersFirst (contact our support team to initiate this process) you can link an events in your club website's calendar to their appropriate event portals.

Setting up the Links:

Here are the steps to link an event portal to an event in your MembersFirst calendar:

  1. Set up your event or league and have your portal designed the way you would like. Once you insert the link into your club website calendar, members can see the portal.

  2. Go to Customer Center > Customer Settings > Integrations. Under the "MembersFirst Single Sign On" tab, the list of SSO links will be available for all of your events and leagues. Copy the SSO link for the event. If you'd like the link to direct the players to the registration page, copy the registration link. If you'd like to direct players to the splash (home) page of the portal, copy the portal link.

  3. Log into MembersFirst as an Admin to your club’s website. On the admin bar across the top of the screen, navigate to the Club Calendar of Events.

  4. Find the event if it has already been created or click on the “new” icon to create an event.

  5. When the event is selected, navigate to the “Advanced” tab.

  6. The next step differs depending on whether your club website starts with "http" or "https" :

    1. http: Paste the SSO link into the Alternate Link URL while omitting the club’s URL within the link. For example, if the SSO Link is "http://www.clubxyz.com//CommonNet/Services/GolfGenius/?target=ggid/sckzxy/register", just paste "/CommonNet/Services/GolfGenius/?target=ggid/sckzxy/register" as the Alternate Link URL.

    2. https: Paste the provided SSO link into the Alternate Link URL. Omit the club's URL within the link and include "secure.aspx" before the "?". For example, if the provided SSO Link is "https://www.clubxyz.com//CommonNet/Services/GolfGenius/?target=ggid/sckzxy/register", it should be changed to "/CommonNet/Services/GolfGenius/secure.aspx?target=ggid/sckzxy/register".

Once the SSO link is added to the event, members will click on the event in the MembersFirst Calendar and be directed right to the portal for that event.
