Listing Event and League Information on your Club Website

Updated over 4 months ago

This feature is available for the following products:

Club websites are an important communication tool for golf clubs. For golfers, the club website is a convenient place to view event information, results of competitions, pairings information, and more.

All event and league information can be found in their corresponding portals. The main objective is to direct players to the event and league portal(s) they are looking for. This can be accomplished in a variety ways, which we will discuss below.

Link Golf Hub on your Club Website:

Golf Hub is a set of features built to increase awareness and boost participation for your Events, Leagues, and Clinics. Golf Hub provides a modern, streamlined approach making it easy to promote, display details, and register for upcoming events all in one location. For instructions linking Golf Hub on your club website, Click Here.

Listing our Directories on your Club Website:

Our Directories feature offers an attractive and easy-to-manage way to organize your events and leagues into your club website. Click Here for instructions on how to create directories.

After directories are created, they can be 1) embedded using iFrames into a page on your club website or 2) linked from anywhere on your club website.

The advantage of embedding your directories is it keeps your players on your club website as they view directories. They will not be redirected to a new page unless they select an event or league. The disadvantage of embedding is that SSO will not be supported. With method (2) above, linking to a directory, SSO is supported.

  1. To embed a directory as an iFrame, go to Customer Center > Directories and Registration > Directories of Leagues and Events. Select "Edit & Share" then the Share tab to view the embedding code for that directory.. The embedding code should then be sent to your website provider or manager to be placed into a page on your club website.

  2. If you choose to link a directory instead, you must first access and copy the link, then insert it into your club website. Placing the link into your club website may require some assistance from your club website provider or manager.

To access a non-SSO directory link, go to Customer Center > Directories and Registration > Directories of Leagues and Events. Select "Edit & Share" then the Share tab to access the direct link for your directories.

To access an SSO Directory link, go to Customer Center > Customer Settings > Integrations. Select the "SSO" tab to view the Directory links that will activate SSO.

Linking a directory within your club website will establish a flow similar to above. Most club websites have a "Golf" section where they can select from a menu of items. When selecting an item, we direct the player to the corresponding directory.

Listing Events and Leagues in your Club Website Calendar:

Many club websites offer a calendar of events where players can view event listings on a calendar. When selecting an event in the calendar, information about that event (e.g., format of play, online registration) is usually displayed. While we usually suggest using the directory method (above), if your players are used to viewing event information on your website calendar it may be advantageous to keep event information in the same place.

This method can be accomplished by copying event and league portal links or Golf Hub Page links and pasting them either in the information page for an event or linking to an external flyer. Attaching an SSO Link to an external flyer is preferable but only available to Clubessential, Jonas, and ClubSystems customers. Click Here for Clubessential instructions. Click Here for Jonas and ClubSystems instructions.

If SSO Links cannot be used, we suggest using GGID Links instead, which can be found in Customer Center > Leagues, Events, and Trips > GGID Links.

Listing Events and Leagues in Other Pages on your Club Website:

Events and Leagues can also be listed on pages other than your club website calendar. This requires more work on your end (rather than using our directories or Golf Hub), but provides you with the flexibility on how you'd like the events and leagues listed as well as where.

This method can be accomplished by copying portal links or Golf Hub Page link and inserting them on your desired club website page.

Customers that use Clubessential, MembersFirst, or ForeTees as their club website provider should use SSO Portal links. Go to Customer Center > Customer Settings > Integrations. Select the "SSO" tab to view the event and league links that will activate SSO.

SSO customers that use other club website providers could use GGID Links instead, which can be found in Customer Center > Leagues, Events, and Trips > GGID Links. However, these links do not activate SSO. This is not recommended for SSO Customers using Event and League Registration.

Non-SSO customers can only use GGID Links or Golf Hub urls.

Remember that year-to-year these links need to be changed and updated with the new season portal links.
