The World Handicap System (WHS) began rolling out in January 2020 across the globe. As a result of this launch, our WHS Customers can manage players, handicaps, and courses in a whole new way. Managers will be able to import a Club's Master Rosters and Course Details from the WHS Database, import player Handicap Indexes, and post scores to WHS.

In this article, we outline your transition to Golf Genius to make it smooth and simple. WHS clubs can take the following actions:
Import and Update Players from WHS: Managers can import players and update the Master Roster from their WHS Roster. This will include details like Membership Number, WHS Details, Handicap Index, and more.
Import and Update Courses from WHS: Managers can import course details quickly from WHS. Course details include available tee(s), 9 and 18 hole Slope/Rating, yardages, hole index, and more.
Update Handicap Indexes from WHS: Managers can update Handicap Indexes, at any time, within a specific event or league.
Post Scores to WHS: Managers can post event/league hole-by-hole scores directly to the WHS.
In order to fully utilize all these features, the Handicap Index Service must be defined for WHS and player Membership Numbers must be entered into Golf Genius.
Setting Up WHS:
To define your Handicap Index Service for WHS, Go to Customer Center > Customer Settings > Default Settings for Leagues or Events > Handicap Settings. WHS will be set as the Handicap Service, but to retrieve Handicap Indexes for players in your Master Roster, you will also need to enter your WHS Credentials, (UK WHS customer example shown below).
The Default Setting selected above will be inherited when any new event or league is created. If you already have events or leagues created that need the integration, go to League/Event > League/Event Profile > Handicap Settings to change the setting.
Once you have applied this information if the Default Setting, you can now take the following actions to complete your setup:
