October Release 2019
Marketing Campaigns
______________________________________________
With today's release, we introduce one of our most impactful new features of the year: Marketing Campaigns.
Using existing email and text message templates, managers can now automate promotional emails for events. For example, events that are about to open for registration, events with low registration, events that are almost full, or events where registration is about to close. Managers can segment their Master Roster and define campaigns in a wide variety of ways: by gender, by age, by Handicap Index, and more. Managers also choose when the emails and text messages are sent and how frequently.
This powerful new feature is available on all GGS TMS Club Premium accounts.
For full details, refer to our Knowledge Base article.
Member & Non-Member Registration
______________________________________________
We have added a new option in the paid registration flow: “Member and Non-Member Registration”. When this feature is enabled by the manager, members can register and pay for themselves and other non-members just as before, but we now allow non-members to complete paid registration independently.
This new feature may be enabled for GGS TMS Club Premium accounts upon request.
For full details, refer to our Knowledge Base article.
Maximum Score Format (Rule 21.2)
_____________________________________________
"Maximum Score is a form of stroke play where a player’s or side’s score for a hole is capped at a maximum number of strokes set by the Committee, such as two times par, a fixed number or net double bogey." --Rule 21.2a
With this new tournament-level feature, managers can set a maximum allowable score per hole in a variety of ways. We have provided a simple checkbox for a maximum of Net Double Bogey or an advanced option to set up any variation needed.
For full details, refer to our Knowledge Base article.
Leaderboard Column Header Customization
______________________________________________
Managers are now able to navigate to their default settings in the Customer Center to define new names for many of the standard leaderboard column headers. For example, "Total To Par Net" can be overwritten to read "To Par" or "Total". This will save space on leaderboards (especially TV Displays) and allow additional players or teams to be shown per page.
For full details, refer to our Knowledge Base article.
Drive, Chip and Putt Event
______________________________________________
With today's release, managers can now create a Drive, Chip and Putt event. A manager can add players, run and score the competition, and show results on leaderboards and portals. This format can be used by clubs to drive junior participation and grow the game.
If you would like to have this event type enabled on your GGS TMS Club Premium account, please contact our Support Team.
For full details, refer to our Knowledge Base article.

For our customers in the UK, the following updates have been made to our integration with Handicap Master to greatly enhance the manager experience.

Manual Pairings Update
______________________________________________
The Manual Pairings page has been redesigned to improve the flow and efficiency of creating your pairings, as well as to include the ability to sort players or teams by previous results.

Leaderboard Enhancements
______________________________________________
Custom Abbreviations for Linked Tournaments - With the release today we introduce the ability to customize the column header abbreviations displayed on leaderboards for 6/6/6, 3/3/3, 9/9, and linked tournaments.
For full details, refer to our Knowledge Base article.
Improved Display of Brackets on TV Leaderboards - Previously, we introduced a redesign of the bracket TV display to make better use of space and provide enhanced readability. With today's release, we take this a step further by introducing "pagination" to brackets displayed on a TV. What this means for the user is a much better viewing experience by breaking large brackets down into more manageable chunks. Displaying a smaller portion of a bracket allows the text to be much larger and easier to read.
For full details, refer to our Knowledge Base article.
Hide Total Strokes Column on TV Display Leaderboard - When a multi-round tournament is in progress, the total strokes column on the TV display leaderboard can lead to confusion. In this release we are adding a new option on the multi-round tournament setup page which gives the manager the ability to hide the Total Gross / Total Net column while the round is in-progress.
For full details, refer to our Knowledge Base article.
Pair In-Progress Divisions
______________________________________________
Before today's release, a manager needed to wait for all divisions to complete play in order to create pairings by division for the next round. This delayed sending out the pairings for a division of players who had already completed play.
Now, managers are able to select playing divisions one by one, create pairings for the next round, assign times and post the pairings. This has been achieved by allowing managers to individually lock every division with respect to pairings creation.
Additionally, the ability to reorder the division with respect to the order in which players will appear on the tee sheet has been added.
For full details, refer to our Knowledge Base article.
Additional Enhancements
______________________________________________
Ability to display college scoring results while the round is in-progress
Additional data fields added to composers: "Round To Par", "Aggregate To Par", and Event Location fields
New bracket design for manager site and portal leaderboards

TV Bracket Improvements
______________________________________________
With this release, we have redesigned how a Bracket Tournament looks and feels when displayed on a TV Leaderboard. This design uses the horizontal space more efficiently, displays the seed more prominently, and uses high-contrast coloring for better readability. In future releases, we will be working to improve the readability of very large brackets by breaking them into smaller regions and displaying them sequentially.
For full details, refer to our Knowledge Base article.
Directory Redesign
____________________________________________
We now offer two options for displaying Directories - Detailed View and Condensed View. In the new Condensed View, a player is able to easily see the most pertinent information and can easily switch to the Detailed View for more information. We have also introduced filters and a search box to allow players to quickly find specific events.
For full details, refer to our Knowledge Base article.
Composer Enhancements
______________________________________________
Easily Change Report Layout - Before today's release, the layout of a report could be specified only when initially creating the report. We have now added the ability to change the layout when editing the report. Once a new layout has been selected, the Report Preview will quickly show how the report looks using the new layout. This feature is available both in the Report Composer and Page Composer.
Adjust Header and Footer Size - We have added the ability to easily adjust the vertical sizing of the Report Header or Report Footer. Simply drag the edge of the area to make it larger or smaller. Adjusting the height only affects the current report and does not affect other reports using the same layout.
Team Player Data - Previously, when reporting on the players within a team, only the data for Player 1 was available. We have now introduced the ability to choose which team player you wish to report on from a dropdown menu to give you much more flexibility in the reports you can create, such as this Media Report with multiple player's data on one line.
Group by Player Last Initial - The ability to group players by Last Initial on reports has been added to easily create alpha reports like the one shown below. Look for additional ways to group players in future releases, such as by Total Score or Custom Field.
For full details, refer to our Knowledge Base article.
Player Dashboard Portal Page
______________________________________________
Previously, players who registered and played in events did not have a central location to view all their activity. We are introducing the new Player Dashboard page for players to access their Public Player Profile (if enabled), Membership Programs, Registration Information, Participation History, and Transaction History. Managers can find this new page under the Player Information section when adding a new page to their portal.
For full details, refer to our Knowledge Base article.
Additional Enhancements
______________________________________________
Ability to print the championship match on the same page as the first region of a Bracket Tournament
Additional Email Templates for Event Registration, Round Signups, and Open Tee Times
Option to Hide Purse information from Public Pages (Portal Leaderboards & TV Display)
Season Points Award Tables increased to 200 places

Navigator
______________________________________________
The new Navigator feature enables you to quickly search the menus using keywords as well as bookmark individual pages. This allows you to create your own event-specific workflow, right within your current page. You no longer need to remember Multi-Round Tournaments are located under the Event menu, or that Email Configuration lives in the Customer Settings menu. Simply search the Navigator using a keyword, then click Go!
For full details, refer to our Knowledge Base article.
Bracket Enhancements
______________________________________________
TBD Players & Byes - With today's release, we have added the ability for you to fill a spot in your bracket with either a player to be determined later (TBD) or to denote no opponent (Bye). The TBD function is also available when Auto-Filling a bracket, allowing you to insert TBDs automatically if there is a tie for the final spot(s) in the bracket. You can then come back later to swap the TBD for the correct player.
Additional Player Information - Now, when displaying brackets, you will have the option to include information such as Handicap Index, Course Handicap, or Qualifier Tournament Results.
For full details, refer to our Knowledge Base article.
Leaderboard Enhancements
______________________________________________
Denoting a Two-Tee Start - Leaderboards will now use an asterisk (*) in the Thru column to denote a player who did not start on Hole #1.
Faster Leaderboard Re-Scoring - In our efforts to constantly improve the product, we have made changes to greatly reduce the time it takes for the system to re-score a leaderboard in events where a large number of Divisions and Tournaments are being calculated.
Ordering within Tied Players - The USGA method has been applied by default to order the tied players on the leaderboard. The ranking is by Tee Time, then Course Priority, then Starting Hole, then Position in Pairing Group.
Email Delivery Report
______________________________________________
We understand that communication is a cornerstone of your event management and have made it easier to determine if there has been a delivery issue with an email. The Email Delivery Report page has been restructured more similarly to the Text Messages Delivery page, now allowing you to quickly filter by Player, Subject, Round, or Status. Additionally, you can now view the Status, Opens, and Clicks for each email.
For full details, refer to our Knowledge Base article.
Master Roster Profile Enhancements
______________________________________________
With this release, we introduce many new items available to you in a player's Master Roster Profile.
Activity Logs - All logs generated for a player through all Events including Membership Program logs, Handicap Index Management logs, and Registration logs.
Transactions Logs - All transactions performed by a player, including Registration fees, Refunds, Donations, Membership Program fees, Event Signup fees, and Round Signup fees.
Other Enhancements - A view of the Public Player Profile is now available, as well as the ability to change a Membership Program expiration date.
For full details, refer to our Knowledge Base article.
Additional Enhancements
______________________________________________
Open Registration - Multiple choice answers in Open Registration will now default to no answer. If the player is a Member, we will default to their Master Roster Profile answer, if available.
Multi-Widget Pages - This release adds the ability to reorder blocks within a Multi-Widget Page.
Integrations - We have deepened our integration with Jonas Club Software to now include syncing a Jonas Member Roster with the Master Roster.

Page & Column Breaks
______________________________________________
When creating a report using the Report Composer, there may be cases where the content needs to be separated by page or column breaks. This is often the case for division reports, flight reports, and multi-tee or multi-course pairings sheets.
Now, managers have the ability to break the information into a new column or page. In the example below, using a two-tee start pairings sheet, you may now break the second tee to a new column automatically.
For full details, refer to our Knowledge Base article.
Multi-Widget Page
______________________________________________
This new type of portal page allows you to consolidate your different pages into a single, easy to navigate screen. The flexible design allows customization of the layout and content of the page, highlighting the most important information for your players (as shown below). We highly recommend using this feature to greatly enhance your portals!
For full details, refer to our Knowledge Base article.
Fully Customizable Emails
______________________________________________
With today's release, we are launching several enhancements to the email feature:
Data Fields in Subject and Body
Multiple Attachments
Save Emails as Templates
CC Addresses
Reply-To Customization
Preview Emails

Hole-by-Hole Statistics
______________________________________________
A new Hole-by-Hole Course Statistics page has been added in the Manager Site, Portal, and as a Report. This table, as shown below, provides a lot of information about your events and can be filtered down to a specific round, course, tee, or division.
For full details, refer to our Knowledge Base article.
X Score Enhancement
______________________________________________
With today's release, we are enhancing the X Score function that was launched a few months ago. Players and Managers now have the ability to enter the "Most Likely Score" by first selecting or typing an X, followed by the player's most likely score, as shown below.
Any hole with an X will not be used in scoring a competition but will allow the player to correctly record their hole score and have ESC applied for score posting purposes.
For full details, refer to our Knowledge Base article.
Mixed Competition from Different Pars
______________________________________________
Managers now have the option to rank the leaderboard by Lowest Total Score, which is the recommended approach for mixed gender events (e.g. Mixed Four Ball) or other cases where mixed pars arise.
