Go through this checklist step by step to ensure that all permission settings in your Facebook Business Manager and ad account are configured correctly so you can create Custom Audiences in the selected ad account.
Trackify simply reflects the permissions and access granted in Facebook.
If you encounter any errors in Trackify, or if audiences are not being created at all, the issue is always related to Facebook settings, not Trackify.
In most cases, these settings are straightforward when you have:
One Business Manager
One ad account
One pixel
However, permissions can become complex if you have access to multiple Business Managers, ad accounts, or pixels.

Step 1 – Check Ad Account Access in Business Manager
What to Verify
The Ad Account you want to use is present in your Business Manager
Your profile is assigned to that ad account
You have Advertiser access or higher
How to Check
Open Business Settings
Go to Accounts → Ad Accounts
Select the ad account you want to use in Trackify
Click Assign People
Confirm your name appears in the list
⚠️ If your profile is not listed, you must be added by the Business Manager admin.
Step 2 – Assign the Pixel to the Ad Account
Trackify can only build audiences if the pixel is assigned to the correct ad account.
How to Check
Open Business Settings
Go to Data Sources → Pixels
Select the pixel you want to use
Open Connected Assets → Connect assets → Ad Accounts
Confirm the correct ad account is listed
✅ The pixel and ad account must be connected.
Step 3 – Assign the Pixel to the Ad Account with Full Control
For Trackify to create Custom Audiences, the Pixel (Dataset) must be properly assigned with Full Control permissions.
How to Check and Update Access
Go to Business Settings
Navigate to Data Sources → Datasets & Pixels
Select the Pixel (Dataset) you want to use
Under the people section
Click Manage
For Manage assignments -> give Full Control (Manage events dataset) and save
