You may request an export of your existing Trips. The file that will be shared with you is a Zip file containing a JSON file. Each JSON file can contain up to 1,000 trips. Please refer to the “Travefy Transition from Trips” article in Home, or contact your Member Support team for more details on how to request your Trips export file.
Follow these steps:
1. Request Your Trips Archive File
In your Trips account you can request an export of your existing Trips. The file that will be shared with you is a Zip file containing a JSON file. Each JSON file can contain up to 1,000 trips.
2. Request importing your Trips archive file.
Trip Users may use the below form to request Travefy's support team to import their Trips Export file into Travefy and upload their Trips archive file (ZIP or JSON format.)
3. Your import request will be processed by Travefy's team.
Once you've submitted your import request and uploaded your file, please allow up to five (5) business days for the Trips to be imported to your Travefy account.
Important Notes on Trips Imports:
Differences Between Systems: Travefy's team has built this integration to map existing Trips data into Travefy as accurately as possible. Travefy has worked to create the most accurate and relevant recreation of a Trips itinerary in Travefy. As Trips and Travefy are two completely separate software systems, Trips Itineraries imported to Travefy may not exactly match how they were previously organized, displayed, or represented in Trips.
For example, where Trips had 1 hotel element that contained both check-in and check-out times, Travefy splits these into 2 separate events on the itinerary timeline. This may result in a hotel check-out event appearing after your client’s departure transfer, if their departure transfer is earlier than the hotel’s check-out time.Times & Ordering: Be aware that Travefy orders events imported from Trips based on the times that are received from the Trips import and timezones that Travefy is able to auto-generate based on locations.
Be Sure to Review: As with any migration, Travefy strongly recommends Envoyage members review all itineraries imported from Trips to verify accuracy before sending to a client.
