Skills can be assigned to your employees and is practical in rota management.
Go to Skills in the configuration(the cog icon in the top right-hand corner).
Click on the Create Skill button.
Name the skill, and enter the external reference if applicable.
Select the options that work for you.
Restrict Job Titles: Specify which job titles can have this skill assigned.
Automatically Apply to Job Titles: Specify whether this skill will be automatically applied to employees with the required job titles.
Click Create.
Once created, you can attach the skills to employees in the Skills section within their profiles. You can also add locking rules to a rota to ensure that certain skills are present before the schedule can be locked.
To make it easier to identify employees with specific skills at a glance when scheduling or viewing rotas, icons can now be assigned to individual skills.
To do this, update the skill in the configuration settings, and turn on the ability to view in schedule/timesheets:
The skill will then be displayed against an employee in the rota:
And can be viewed in the employee pop up:
Filter by skills
You can now filter by employee skills using the schedule or timesheet filter options, making it easier to quickly find employees with a specific skill.
Skills report
It is now possible to generate a report showing employee skills, making it easy to identify who has specific skills and who may require training in certain areas.
