Roles, responsibilities, and departments are essential for creating users on Logit.
Roles
What is a role
Roles define which portals and areas of Logit the user can access.
If any modules are missing from the 9-dot menu, it means the user's role doesn't have access to that module.
How do I create a role
Go to Roles in the configure portal.
Click Add Role.
Name the role and enable the necessary portal access for this role.
Click Save, and you'll jump back to the Roles page.
Select the role that you just created.
Go to an available portal tab and enable or disable their access to areas of Logit.
Once it is done, you'll be taken back to the Roles page.
Select the role again to complete the settings for other portals, if needed.
The Applied To tab shows who this role is assigned to.
💡If two user groups have similar access to features in Logit, click the Clone button in the top right corner to copy the settings. You can then adjust the settings for the second group, saving you the effort of creating a new role from scratch.
Responsibilities
What is responsibility
A responsibility in Logit restricts user access to tasks such as checks, audits, records, requests, and rules for news feeds.
Users must have the relevant responsibilities assigned so they can access and complete the jobs.
How do I create a responsibility
Go to Responsibilities in the configure portal.
Click Add Responsibility.
Name the responsibility.
Assign the responsibility to the departments optionally.
Click Create.

Departments
What is department
Department is a specific division within an organisation, defining the people working in the same business function.
Only when access the smart board, calendar, and the reports, the user must have the relevant department assigned. Most of the time, departments don't limit users' access to the features on Logit.
How do I create a department
Once roles, responsibilities, and departments are set up, you can proceed to create users as needed.
