Adding single users and pin users

Updated over 5 months ago

Users represent the employees in the organisation and define what they can see and do within Logit.

Differences between a single user, a multi user, and a pin user

User

Creation

Single user

An email address is required.

Single users log in with their email address and password.

Multi user

An email address is required and it is shared through pin users.

A multi user is the parent user for pin users.

Pin user

A multi user account must be created before adding pin users, and each pin user requires a unique pin.

Pin users must log in using the multi-user's email address and security pin. Then they will be directed to a second login page where they will need to enter their pin.

How do I create a single user

  1. Go to the configure portal.

  2. Go to Users under PEOPLE.

  3. Hover over Add User and create a single user.

  4. Fill in the required fields, including name, role, responsibilities, location, department, email address (must be valid), and any other relevant information.

  5. Click Create, and a login email will be sent to the user, allowing them to set their own password.

How do I create a pin user

  1. Go to the configure portal.

  2. Go to Users under PEOPLE.

  3. Hover over Add Multi User and create a multi user.

  4. Fill in the required fields, including name, role, responsibilities, location, department, email address, security pin, and any other relevant information.

  5. Click Create.

  6. Open User Actions menu and click Add Pin User.

  7. Fill in the required fields. Please remember that a pin user can only have the same role, responsibilities, locations, and departments as the multi-user.

Once a user has been created, they can be cloned to create additional users with the same location, department and responsibilities. Locate a user, edit their details, then open the User Actions and select Clone User.
