Glossary of Terms – A guide to Logit terminology

A

Access control – A restriction used to limit visibility of Documents, News and Links to subsets of users.

Action – A task or operation that needs to be done to keep the organisation ticking, either in response to problems identified from workflows or directly from reported by users.

Asset – Items are managed or tracked within the organisation which workflows can collect data against. Examples might include specific fridges, fire points or utility meters.

Asset group – A collection or category of assets grouped together for easier management or tracking.

Audit – A systematic review of performance to check if it meets standards, using scores to measure compliance.

Audit log – A detailed record or history of actions.

Business entity – The physical structure of the organisation, defining the types of location within the business

Calendar – A list showing the upcoming events regarding locations or assets with dates provided.

Check – A list of items or tasks to be completed or checked.

Configuration – A collection of functions and it can be accessed by clicking the cog icon in the top right corner of the configure portal.

Configure portal – The workspace for setting up the system, including creating checks, adding users, and more.

Contractor – An external person or company hired to perform specific tasks or services for an organisation.

Dashboard – A visual interface that displays task statuses and key data in real-time.

Department – A specific division within an organisation, defining the people working in the same business function.

Discussion – Groups are used to categorise conversations related to specific topics and are attached to other areas of Logit, such as Logbooks.


E

Enable with anonymous submission – This allows the workflow to be accessible to external parties.

External gateway – Points of entry to individual tasks on Logit or other web-based products used by the organisation

Favourite report – A favourite report allows you to save a report with specific filters, amalgamations, and date ranges applied, enabling easy access without having to reapply the filters each time you run the report.

Forced Grades – A grading method is used to apply a grading based on a question’s answer, overriding the score or percentage parameters.


G

Gradings – A rating system that assigns levels based on the criteria and final score, used in audits.


H

Housekeeping board – A management tool used to track or display the current status of tasks.


L

Location – A physical place or area, used to identify where assets, people, or tasks are situated.

Logbook – A record of events, used for tracking or reference purposes.


M

Maintenance board – A management tool used to track or display the next due dates of tasks.

Manager – Who will be managing the tasks.

Monitor – Who will be completing the tasks.

Monitor portal – The workspace for completing the tasks, including completing checks, adding records, and more.


N

News – Information or updates about current events shared within an organisation.


O

Observer – Who will be overseeing the tasks.

Organisation Settings – Settings which affect your entire organisation.


P

Prefix Property – The value that will be added to the beginning of the title.

Priority – The level of importance or urgency assigned to a task, such as actions and requests.

Progress state – The current status or stage of completion of a task.


R

Record – A documented entry that contains specific details about locations or assets, linked to calendars or smart boards.

Reporting groups – Groups of locations responsible for accessing specific reports.

Reporting portal – The workspace for exporting reports.

Request – A application for corrective action, such as incident requests and maintenance requests

Responsibility – A duty to perform a task within an organisation. Responsibilities allow precise control over which users are needed for each workflow.

Risk assessment – A risk assessment can help companies identify and prepare for potential risks in order to avoid serious consequences down the road.

Role – Roles define which portals and areas of Logit the user can access.


S

Schedule – A plan that specifies when tasks should take place.

Scored – A feature that allows you to assign a numerical value to a question in the form.

Sensor board – A management tool used to track or display the data from monitored items, such as sensor push.

Submit with Silent Actions – Whether an action plan can be generated without notification.

Suffix Property – The value that will be added to the end of the title.


T

Tag – A label used to categorise and manage assets and locations. Users can filter tasks by tags in the monitor portal if applied.

Template – A predefined structure that can be used to share common properties among different asset groups or entities.

Trigger – An event or condition that activates or causes an action to take place in a system or process.


V

Validation – Validations are used to check something is correct or meets predefined standards, and an alert is triggered for corrective action when values fall outside a specified range.


U

User – Users represent the employees in the organisation and define what they can see and do within Logit.
