How can I customise email subjects

You can include details such as locations and assets in the email subject

Written by Mengmei Li

A clear subject line helps recipients understand what an email is about before they even open it. Follow these steps to customise your email subjects with dynamic data.

Steps

  1. Set up your email notification.

  2. In the subject field, use any of the codes below to automatically pull through relevant information:

Code

Description

[request-name]

Name of the request

[custom-id]

Custom identifier

[resolution]

Resolution status

[event-createdby]

Who created the event

[event-progress-state]

Current progress state

[priority-name]

Priority level

[event-id]

Event ID

[location-name]

Location name

[user]

User associated with the event

[check-name]

Check name

[asset-name]

Asset name

You can combine multiple codes in a single subject line β€” for example: [priority-name] – [request-name] ([location-name])
