Truckbase Product Update - 10.30.2024

Updated over a year ago

We are excited to announce several new features and enhancements in Truckbase this week. These updates include a dispatch dashboard, custom disclaimers on Truckbase generated documents, pinned views and ability to create new views, and a new LTL and partial truckload module is now available for mixed carriers who handle truckload, partial truckload, and LTL shipments.

1. New Clickable Dispatch Dashboard (Video)

  • You now have access to a new clickable dispatch dashboard that provides a summary of your operations.

  • Quickly view pending orders, uncovered trips, assigned but not dispatched trips, in-transit trips, dispatched trips, and delivered but not invoiced orders.

  • Clicking on any of these categories opens a detailed list in a new tab, giving you full visibility into your operations.

2. Add Custom Disclaimer to BOL & Rate Cons (Video)

  • You can now add disclaimers for Bill of Lading and Rate Confirmation documents.

  • When you generate a Bill of Lading or Rate Confirmation, the added disclaimers will automatically appear, saving you time and ensuring consistency.

3. Pin Favorite Views on Orders & Dispatch Pages (Video)

  • Customize your experience by pinning specific views on the orders or dispatch pages.

  • For example, if you prefer the inbox view for orders, simply pin it, and it will be the default view each time you enter the orders page.

  • You can also pin your preferred view, whether it’s the table, board, calendar or availability view on the dispatch page.

4. Create and Save Custom Views (Video)

  • Admins can now create saved views for their teams. For instance, you can set up a view for orders delivered but not invoiced or for orders that still need dispatching.

  • This feature helps streamline workflows and allows team members to access relevant data quickly without having to re-enter filters.

  • A Custom View saves both the filters and the column orders, so you can have the right info for each step of the load consistently across your team.

How might this feature help me?

  • If you have team members with different responsibilities, you can create tailored views for each of them, streamlining their workflow.

  • Easily manage views for specific needs, such as invoices needing payment or orders that haven't been dispatched, improving tracking and accountability.

  • This feature saves time by reducing the need to constantly adjust filters, allowing your team to focus on what matters most.

Here are some example saved views you can create:

  • Uncovered trips

  • Assigned but not dispatched trips

  • In-transit trips

  • Delivered but not invoiced Orders

  • Custom lists using tags or locations

5. New LTL & Partial Shipment Module - Enterprise Tier (Video)

  • We are excited to introduce a new LTL module, allowing carriers to manage LTL and partial truckload orders easily and effectively.

  • This module enables you to consolidate multiple orders into a single trip, improving operational efficiency.

Is the LTL and Partial Module right for me?

  • If you are a carrier handling a combination of truckload, partial truckload, and LTL (Less-than-Truckload)shipments, this module will provide you with the flexibility to efficiently manage your operations.

  • It is particularly beneficial if you frequently consolidate orders into a single trip, as it helps track both individual orders and overall trip status seamlessly.

  • If your operations involve complex logistics and require enhanced functionality for mixed loads, this module could be a valuable addition to your workflow.

If you're interested in upgrading or know someone who would benefit from this module, please reach out for more information.

That wraps up this week’s release! If you have any questions or feedback on these new features, please feel free to reach out to our support team.
