How Often Are 214 Status Updates Sent?

214 status updates are event-driven, not time-based. They're sent immediately when specific actions occur in Truckbase.

Trigger-Based Sending

214s are sent immediately when:

  1. Stop status changes - When driver or dispatcher updates specific stops to In Transit, Arrived, Completed.

  2. Appointment is confirmed - When you confirm an appointment
    ​

  3. Driver app updates - When drivers updates stop statuses through the mobile app
    ​

  4. Location updates - If enabled, when location changes occur


Controlling What Gets Sent

Per-Customer Configuration

Each EDI customer can have different settings:

  • Enable/disable specific status codes (X1, X3, D1, etc.)

  • Skip appointment confirmations

  • Include or exclude location updates
