Every company and project uses different nomenclature for submittal types. Your Procore or Autodesk project might call something "PD" that our platform knows as "Product Data." To ensure the agent runs all reviewable submittals, it needs to know your specific terminology.
With Submittal Type Mapping, you can now configure these mappings yourself directly in the agent.
How to access type mapping
Click your profile in the bottom left corner of the Trunk Tools app
Select Manage Agents
Find your Submittal Review agent and click Edit
Select the Type Mapping tab
How to Map Your Types
If your project has multiple integrations connected (e.g., both Procore and Autodesk, or multiple instances of either), you'll see them listed on the left side of the screen under Integrations.
Select the integration you want to configure submittals for.
The Type Mapping screen shows all the submittal types from your connected source system (Procore or Autodesk) on the left and Trunk Tools type mappings on the right.
For each type, you have two options:
Toggle on/off: Use the Active toggle to control whether the submittal agent reviews submittals of that type. If you have types you don't want reviewed, simply toggle them off.
Select a submittal type: Click the dropdown on the right and select the matching default type. The standard types our agent reviews include:
Product Data
Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Manuals
Test Report
Certificate
Warranty
Sustainability and LEED
Qualification
Sample Warranty
If your source type doesn't match any Trunk Tools type, select "-" from the dropdown. These types will be toggled off automatically.
Note: We automatically suggest initial mappings, but you should review and confirm each mapping is correct.
Saving Your Mappings
Once you've configured your mappings, click Update Submittal Agent to save your changes.
