TrunkReview FAQ
The most frequently asked questions about TrunkReview, the drawing review agent.
1.) What is TrunkReview?
TrunkReview is the drawing review agent. When a new bulletin or revision set comes in, it compares it against the previous version and tells you what changed, as a written narrative and as a visual overlay on the sheets. It catches changes the architect didn't cloud, not just the ones they did, so the revisions that usually turn into rework don't slip past your team.
2.) What problem does it solve?
A drawing set that would take hours to review by hand is reviewed in minutes, and the uncloud changes that normally get missed, and become rework, get caught.
3.) What do I get when a review is done?
Two views of the same set of changes:
Narrative of changes — a written, sheet-by-sheet summary of what changed.
Visual overlay — additions, subtractions, detail boxes, and changed areas highlighted directly on the sheet.
You can toggle between sheets to move through the review quickly, and less critical changes are bracketed out so you can focus on what matters.
4.) Can I add my own notes?
Yes. You can add your own narrative bullets on top of the ones TrunkReview generates, and add notes at the detail or drawing-view level, before you share the review with your trade partners.
5.) How do I share a review?
Download the narrative of changes. The sheet image is included in a single .docx file, so your project partners get the narrative and the overlay together in one document, with no need to send them separately.
6.) How does it handle details that moved between revisions?
When a detail moves between revisions, TrunkReview realigns it before analyzing, so a moved detail isn't mistaken for a change.
7.) How accurate is it?
TrunkReview is AI and can make mistakes. Always verify its findings against the source sheets before acting on them. Object-labeling training has improved change detection and reduced noise, and your feedback directly improves accuracy, so if it gets something wrong, let us know.
8.) What's coming soon?
Color-blind accessibility. You'll be able to change the colors used for additions, subtractions, detail boxes, and changed-area boxes in your overlays.
9.) How do I get TrunkReview enabled on my project?
If TrunkReview isn't enabled on your project yet, or you have questions as you start using it, reach out to your CSM.
