  1. Connect your Truora account to HubSpot

    • Once in the platform go to Integrations on the left panel and click on CONNECT, that's in front of the HubSpot logo.

    • At this point, you will be redirected to HubSpot to complete the connection process.

    • Back in Truora’s platform, enter the email address that is associated with your HubSpot’s inbox.

⚠️ This is NOT your HubSpot user's email, to access this account follow the steps in the slides below:

Set up an inbox mail in HubSpot

      • Go to settings in your HubSpot account and in the left panel go to the Inbox section, then click on inboxes.

      • Click on connect a channel and follow the steps to set up a Team email.

      • We recommend connecting a HubSpot hosted account (other mail account). If you want to set up your own email you can also do it but it should be a new email address dedicated to this.

      • Click on next and activate incoming conversations to be created as support tickets (this will help you get the most out of this integration).

      • Finally, click on connect and finish. That’s it, you are ready to connect your HubSpot account with Truora.

      • Back in Truora, paste the email address you just set up in your HubSpot account into the integration modal and click connect.

      • Refresh and the HubSpot integration should appear with status Active.

  2. Create your first WhatsApp flow

    • Time to create and test your first WhatsApp flow. Go to the products section on the left panel and click on open, under WhatsApp Customer Engagement.

    • Click on create new flow, name your test flow, select WhatsApp chatbot and continue.

    • Select blank template and continue.

Drag and drop the blocks in the left panel into the flow builder tool and start creating your conversational flow.

We recommend you to start with frequent blocks such as open questions and answer options.

    • Add the connect to an agent step so you can fully test your integration with HubSpot.

    • Go to the configuration section, select your chatbot language and expiration time for your flow (time that the users will have to respond).

Click on save and select save and publish.

  3. Test your WhatsApp < > HubSpot integration

    • Time to test your conversation live. Click on test conversation on the upper right corner of the platform.

Enter the phone number where you want to receive the conversational flow you just designed and click on continue.

    • Go to your WhatsApp and test the flow you just designed.

Make sure you test the path including the HubSpot integration, so you can live the experience of redirecting an user to an agent.

    • Back in HubSpot, go to conversations and you will see a new conversation in your inbox (the name of it will start with IDP).

Respond from HubSpot and see how it immediately goes to your WhatsApp.

To finish the conversation, change the ticket status to closed.

  4. Access user responses as WhatsApp properties

    • While interacting with the bot, all user responses are stored in HubSpot as contact properties.

To access these properties, go to the contact in HubSpot and click view all properties.

    • In the search bar, look for Truora properties. You will have access to 2 types of properties:

      • Default properties giving you information about the interactions you have had with that contact through WhatsApp.

      • User responses to the interaction to the bot.
