What does Shopify Supported RMS mean and how do I set it up?

This article helps explain what Shopify Supported RMS means and how to set up your returns integration in Merchant Portal.

Updated over a week ago

You are using a Shopify supported RMS if one of the following options applies to you:

  1. You are using Shopify native functionality to create and process returns.

  2. If you are using a returns platform outside of Shopify, you can check if they have built their platform to be compatible with Shopify:

    1. Go to an order that had returns.

    2. Does the returned item show a status "Return in progress" or "Returned"? If so, then you are using a Shopify supported RMS.

Known examples of Shopify supported RMS: Re:do, ParcelLab

In order for TryNow to receive returns event data, you will want to ensure that you set up the Returns Software Integration in Merchant Portal.

How do I set it up?

Step 1: To set up your Returns Software Integration, you will navigate to Merchant Portal, click on Controls > Returns. Then click Add Integration.

Step 2: Make any necessary configurations. If any of the settings are unclear, you can refer to this article on Customizing your Shopify Supported RMS integration settings, which has detailed illustrative examples.

Step 3: Hit Save to enable your Shopify Supported RMS Integration.
