Linking Replacement Orders in Case of Order Delivery Issues

Unforeseen circumstances like lost or stalled packages can sometimes disrupt the delivery process. Our Linked Order feature ensures shoppers can seamlessly continue their trial journey, even when replacement orders are sent.

You can easily link the new replacement order in Merchant Portal. This ensures a seamless trial experience for the shopper.

After you have created a new replacement order for the items you are reshipping in Shopify, here's how you can link a replacement order in Merchant Portal:

  1. Go to the original order details in Merchant Portal.

  2. Click on "More" in top right corner, and click "Link Order".

  3. Enter the new replacement order ID in the modal that appears.

  4. Click "Link Order".

Note: The Order number to use is what appears in the "Order" column in your Shopify admin. Also please leave off any # symbols, so if the order number in Shopify appears as #1003, you only need to enter 1003 in this Linked Order field.

What Happens After Linking:

  • Trial Emails: The new order's delivery tracking will trigger the "trial starts" email and subsequent communications to the shopper.

  • Return Monitoring: If the shopper returns the new replacement order, the transaction balance on the original order containing the payment authorization will be automatically adjusted.

You no longer need to manually keep track of replacement orders and the shopper experience is more seamless. Our system will handle the trial emails, returns, and payments based on the new order once it's linked.
