When working with video templates there are a number of settings and editing tools available for use. A number of them are similar to their counterparts when working with images and some are unique to video.
To bring the Video Settings panel into view, you need to select the video in your template.
The first part of the panel is largely self-explanatory. Across the top you have buttons for
Crop
Trim
Mask
Replace
Selecting the Trim tool will open a new window in which you can trim the video by seconds or by frames:
β
Beneath that you can adjust:
Opacity
Volume (where applicable)
Alignment of the video within the template
This can be adjusted using the quick buttons or by specifying a Position in pixels
Scale, in percentage terms
Rotation, in degrees
Corner radius (curvature of the corners), defined in pixels or percent
The lower half of the panel allows you to adjust:
Video playback speed
This can be defined as a multiplier or by defining a new desired length of the video.
Overlay - this allows you to overlay your video with a solid colour with variable opacity.

Blend mode
Blend modes are mathematical formulas that typically determine how two layers will blend together based on a pixel-by-pixel analysis that utilises Luminosity, Hue and Saturation. Experimenting with blend modes can allow designers to create some amazing effects relatively easily without changing pixel colours. A comprehensive guide to Blend modes can be found here.
