Self-billing is a standard invoicing process where Twirl generates the invoice on your behalf once a campaign is completed.
Instead of you sending us an invoice, we automatically create one using the information you provided during onboarding, such as your legal name and billing address. This helps ensure payouts are processed quickly. It’s a common approach used by marketplaces and platforms that work with independent creators and contractors.
You do not need to send us an invoice. The compensation shown on the platform is the total agreed amount and will be reflected in the self-billed invoice issued on your behalf.
Why does Twirl use self-billing?
Self-billing allows us to:
• Process payouts faster
• Keep invoice records accurate
• Avoid delays caused by manual invoicing
To ensure accurate billing and smooth payouts, it’s important that your legal name, billing address and VAT or tax details are kept up to date in both your Twirl account and your Stripe/Lumanu account at all times.
You remain responsible for reporting and paying your own taxes in your country, if applicable. Self-billing simply means we generate the invoice for record-keeping purposes. Under our self-billing arrangement, you agree not to issue separate invoices for campaigns completed through Twirl.
