To receive payouts via Stripe, you’ll need to connect and complete your Stripe account. It only takes a few minutes.
Step 1: Start the setup
Go to the “Payouts” tab and click “Connect Stripe Account”
You’ll be redirected to Stripe’s secure onboarding flow.
Step 2: Enter your personal details
Stripe will ask for basic information to verify your identity:
Full name
Date of birth
Email address
Phone number (in some cases)
Make sure everything matches your official documents!
Step 3: Add your address
Enter your current residential address. Stripe uses this for identity verification and compliance.
Step 4: Add your bank details
This is where your payouts will go:
Bank account number / IBAN
Sort code (UK) or routing number (US)
Account holder name
Make sure the account is in your name to avoid delays!
Step 5: Verify your identity (if required)
In some cases, Stripe may ask you to upload:
A photo of your ID (passport or driver’s license)
A quick selfie for verification
Step 6: Review and submit
Double-check your details, then submit your account.
Stripe may take a moment to verify your details.
It’s not always obvious, but sometimes Stripe will ask you to review and accept their terms again, so make sure to check for that!
Step 7: Enter your tax details!
One last (but important!) step: Make sure your tax information is up to date in your Twirl account under Payouts (see below). If this isn’t completed, your Stripe payout setup won’t be fully activated.
