Our mission is to help you go from zero to amazing writer and we have strong opinions on how you should get there:

  5. Staring at a blank page is the worst problem facing writers.

How to use Typeshare

Fundamentally, Typeshare helps you write and publish your content to social platforms (with a greater focus on the writing side of things). Here are the steps involved in this:

  1. What should I write about?

  2. What format should I write?

  3. How do I actually write about this?

  4. How do I share my piece once it's done?

We help you with each of these steps.

Step 1

The first step of writing is answering the question 'What should I write about?'. That's why we built the Endless Idea Generator. It helps you come up with endless writing ideas - all you have to do is give it a topic, and then swipe through a stack of ideas, saving your favourites.

Step 2

Next, you have to decide what you actually want to write. Should this idea be a tweet? Should it be a thread? A LinkedIn post? An Atomic Essay? Whatever you want to write, you can write it on Typeshare.

To turn a saved idea into a piece, go to the "My Ideas" page and click on the idea you want to write and select one of the formats.

Or, press the "Write" button at anytime to create a blank piece.

Step 3

Ok, now the hardest part - the blinking cursor on a blank page...oh wait this is Typeshare and that's not scary anymore!

The best place to start is by browsing our library of 200+ digital writing templates. Here's a quick how-to on how to access templates inside the editor.

You can filter templates by type, or the format you are writing. You can preview them all and decide on the perfect one! Once you've chosen a template, now it's time for you to do your magic! Fill in the template (and tweak it to fit your style).

Step 4

Now, the last step! How do I actually share this piece with the world and see what people think? In Typeshare, this couldn't be easier. Just press the "Publish" button in the top right and from that menu you can publish or schedule the piece to Twitter, LinkedIn, Medium, or your Social Blog (this is your profile on Typeshare, which houses your best content).

And there you have it - you've gone from nothing to published post. Now repeat this process and you'll watch as you become a better and better writer.
