Inventory Minimum Alerts User Guide

Read on to learn how you can set up minimum alerts for inventory items based on the inventory location and job, including general stock!

Adding a Minimum Threshold

On Individual Items

  1. Browse to the inventory item’s detail view

  2. Under the Inventory Locations for each row click “Set Min”

  3. You can also edit the threshold by clicking “Edit Min”

In Bulk

  1. Browse to the Inventory List page

  2. Select the items you’d like to set a minimum threshold on

  3. Click “Manage Items”

  4. Enter minimum amounts for each inventory location and job for those items

Triggering a Minimum Threshold

When a minimum threshold is passed, we trigger a notification and the item will have an alert on it.

Notifications

Procurement

  1. For a job, an email and in app notification will be sent to all procurement users related to the job

  2. For general stock, an email and in app notification will be sent to all procurement users

Warehouse

  1. All warehouse users will receive an email and in app notification for all jobs and general stock

Viewing Items with an Alert

  1. On the Inventory List page toggle the “Low Quantity” filter.

  2. You can now see all items that have a minimum alert

Additional Notes

Currently, this feature does not create a purchase order to reorder stock, or support a maximum threshold.
