Introduction to Promos and Content

Learn what promotions and content are, and how they power Dynamic Connection Pages.

Updated this week

Promotions and Content are the building blocks of Dynamic Connection Pages. They control what customers see, what actions they can take, and how your brand engages them at the right moment.

Together, they let you create personalised, relevant experiences — without showing every customer the same static page.

Promotions

Promotions are incentives designed to drive action. They’re typically used to reward loyalty, encourage repeat visits, or prompt a customer to order, redeem, or engage with your business.

Examples include:

  • A welcome offer for new customers

  • A loyalty reward for regulars

  • A time-based deal like happy hour

  • A targeted incentive for a specific customer group

Promotions are dynamic. Whether a customer sees a promotion depends on:

  • Who they are (new, known, or part of a group)

  • Where they are (location or channel)

  • How the promotion is configured

On a Dynamic Connection Page, promotions appear as tiles with an image, description, and call-to-action.

Content

Content is used to inform, guide, or engage customers — without offering a discount.

It’s best suited for things like menus and ordering links, brand stories, events, announcements, or feedback forms. Content gives customers useful context or next steps, even when a promotion isn’t relevant.

Like promotions, content is shown dynamically. You can choose whether it appears:

  • To everyone

  • Only to specific customer groups

  • Only to new or unknown customers

Content helps customers take the next step, even when a promotion isn’t relevant.

Dynamic Connection Pages are built by combining promotions and content into a single personalised experience.
