Step 1: Choose or create a campaign in Lemlist (optional)

You can export into an existing Lemlist campaign, or let Twain create a new one during export (see Step 3).
If you create it yourself, click Create Campaign, give it a name and select Manually created.

Step 2: Export from Twain

In Twain, open the campaign with messaging ready to go.
Click Export (or Export Leads), then choose Lemlist. If it isn't listed directly, click More first.
If this is your first time: you'll be prompted to enter your API key. Have it ready.

Pick an existing campaign under Existing, or switch to New campaign and enter a name to have Twain create it in Lemlist.
Check the variable names for each step. Twain names them by channel, e.g. Email 1, Connect 2, LinkedIn 3, plus Subject 1 for the subject line.
Click Export Leads.

In Lemlist, open the campaign and navigate to Leads to confirm they've been pushed across.

If Twain created the campaign: the email and LinkedIn steps are already in place, with the Twain variables inserted. Check the steps in the Sequence tab and the sending schedule.
If you exported into an existing campaign: go to the Sequence tab. For each step, click the personalization brackets and select the matching Twain variable (e.g. Subject 1 for the subject line, Email 1 for the first email body).
In both cases, add your email signature and connect your mailbox.

Click Preview to see exactly how each email will look. Lemlist shows both desktop and mobile views.
Once everything looks right, launch the campaign.

💡 Tips

Your API key only needs to be entered once. Twain saves it for future exports.
Lemlist works with email and LinkedIn steps. Each lead needs an email address or a LinkedIn URL.
Turn on Skip existing leads to avoid exporting leads that are already in the Lemlist campaign.
Use the desktop/mobile preview in Lemlist to catch formatting issues before launch.
Re-exporting doesn't update leads that already exist in Lemlist. Delete them there first if you want the new content.
