Step 1: Set Up in HeyReach
In HeyReach, go to Start New Campaign and give it a name (e.g., "Twain and HeyReach Test"). Click Create.
Create an empty lead list — this is where Twain will push your leads. Give it a clear name (e.g., "Twain HR December").
Step 2: Export from Twain
In Twain, open a campaign that's ready to launch.
Click Export Leads and select HeyReach.
If this is your first time: you'll be prompted to enter your API key. Have it ready.
Step 3: Select Your Lead List and Export
Select the lead list you just created.
Confirm the steps are mapped correctly, then click Export Leads.
Once exported, you can view the lead list in HeyReach to see how the enriched leads and messaging will appear on LinkedIn.
Step 4: Add Leads to Your Campaign
Open the campaign you created and select your lead list.
Click Continue and select your sender account.
Step 5: Build the Sequence
Click Add Action and select Send Connection Request. Choose Step 1 as the variable for the connection note.
Add a fallback message — this is required in HeyReach whenever you use custom variables. Save.
Add another action: Send Message. Choose Step 2 as the variable, add a fallback, and save.
Continue adding steps as needed to match your Twain campaign.
💡 Tips
Your API key only needs to be entered once — Twain saves it for future exports.
HeyReach always requires a fallback message when using custom variables — don't skip this.
The lead list and campaign are separate in HeyReach — create both before exporting from Twain.
FAQs
How can I efficiently get leads from Sales Navigator into Twain if I use HeyReach?
The most efficient workflow is: export leads from HeyReach, import them into Twain, then export back to HeyReach. This keeps lead data consistent across both platforms.
I've already exported leads to HeyReach — can I delete the campaign in Twain without affecting HeyReach?
Yes. Once leads are exported and live in HeyReach, deleting the Twain campaign won't affect anything in HeyReach. That said, if you delete the campaign and later want to make changes, you'll need to pay again. If you keep the campaign and only edit messages, you won't be charged again.
