How do I reset my V1CE card?

Reset a V1CE card so it unlinks from its current page. Step by step for V1CE ClientCapture OS and legacy software.

How do I reset my Smart Card?

To reset your V1CE card, log in at app.v1ce.co, find the card under your card settings, and unlink it. The card can then be reactivated by scanning the QR code on the back.

On V1CE ClientCapture OS

On V1CE ClientCapture OS, reset is done from the page the card is linked to.

  1. Log in at app.v1ce.co.

  2. Open Pages from the left sidebar.

  3. Open the page the card is linked to.

  4. Open card settings and click Unlink card.

  5. Confirm the unlink.

The card is now unlinked. It will not show any page when tapped until it is reactivated.

On the legacy V1CE Plus, Pro, or Teams software

On the legacy V1CE software, reset is done from the Tap/NFC area on the page itself.

  1. Log in at app.v1ce.co.

  2. Open the page the card is linked to.

  3. Open the Tap or NFC section.

  4. Click the pencil icon next to the linked card and remove it, or click Reset.

  5. Confirm the reset.

When to reset a card

Reset a V1CE card in any of these situations:

  • An employee has left and you want to give their card to someone new.

  • You want to link the card to a completely different account.

  • The card is behaving unexpectedly and a reset may fix it.

  • You are selling or giving the card to someone else.

What happens when you reset

When you reset a V1CE card, only the link between the physical card and the page is broken. Your data stays in place.

  • The physical card is unlinked from the page it was attached to.

  • The page itself is not deleted. It stays on the account.

  • Your contacts and Insights data are not deleted.

  • The card can be reactivated by scanning the QR code on the back.

Reactivating after a reset

To reactivate a V1CE card after a reset, scan the QR code on the back and link it to a page.

  1. Scan the QR code on the back of the card with a phone camera.

  2. Log in, or create a new account.

  3. Link the card to a page.

  4. The card is active again.

I cannot find the reset option

If you cannot find the reset option, check that you are logged in to the account that owns the card. If the card belongs to a team, the team admin may need to reset it. If you cannot access the original account, contact V1CE with a photo of the QR code on the back of the card and we will reset it for you.

If none of the above resolves it, send V1CE a chat message with a photo of the card and a screenshot of what you see in your dashboard. V1CE resolves most reset issues within a few hours.
