My V1CE Insights aren't showing data. What to check

If your V1CE Insights dashboard is empty or not updating, here are the four most common causes and how to confirm each one.

If your V1CE Insights dashboard is empty or not updating, the cause is usually one of three things: the V1CE page has not been tapped or visited yet, you are looking at Insights for the wrong link, or there is a known back-end issue with Insights. The fix depends on which of the three it is.

This article is for V1CE customers who expected to see taps, page views, or clicks in their Insights dashboard and either see no data or see stale data.

Check that the V1CE page has been tapped or visited

If your V1CE page has not been tapped or visited yet, Insights will show no data because there is nothing to record. Tap your V1CE card with a different phone (not the one logged into the account) and wait a minute. Then refresh Insights. If the tap appears, Insights is working and the dashboard was empty because no one had visited the page yet.

Check you are looking at the right link's Insights

Each link on your V1CE account has its own Insights. If you have more than one link, you may be looking at a link that gets no traffic while another link is the one being tapped. Open the link selector in your dashboard, switch to the link that matches the card you are actually sharing, then open Insights again.

Try a fresh tap from a different phone

To rule out the first two causes in one step:

  1. Borrow a phone that is not logged into your V1CE account.

  2. Tap your V1CE card and let the V1CE page load fully.

  3. Wait one minute, then open Insights for that link in your dashboard.

If the tap appears, Insights is working. If it does not appear, the issue is most likely a back-end one and V1CE will need to look at it.

When the issue is a known back-end problem

Insights occasionally stops updating because of a back-end issue on V1CE's side. V1CE escalates these to the engineering team. If a real tap from a different phone does not appear in Insights after a minute, contact V1CE support with:

  • The V1CE link you are checking.

  • The approximate time of the test tap.

  • A screenshot of what Insights is showing.

V1CE will confirm whether Insights is currently affected and let you know when the data backfills.

If you are on legacy V1CE Plus, Pro, or Teams software

On the legacy V1CE Plus, Pro, or Teams software, the analytics dashboard is labelled "Analytics" rather than "Insights" but the troubleshooting is the same: confirm a fresh tap registers, confirm you are looking at the right link, and contact V1CE support if a real tap does not appear.
