Vantage allows users to manage unresolved incidents by linking them to revisit events. This feature ensures that ongoing issues are properly followed up and resolved without being lost during the event closure process.
Creating Revisit Events
You can create or attach incidents to revisit events in two ways:
1. During the Completion Process
When closing an event with open incidents:
A modal will appear prompting you to either:
Create a new revisit event with the selected open issues.
Attach the issues to an existing event (selected from a dropdown).
If confirmed, the system creates or links the issues to the chosen event and closes the current event.
If declined, the event will close, but the incidents remain open.
2. From the Issues Tab
Navigate to the Issues tab within the event.
Select one or more incidents.
Choose to:
Attach them to an existing event (via dropdown), or
Create a new revisit event.
Once attached, the issue becomes linked.
Working with Linked Incidents
Revisit Count: Each time an event is revisited, a count is added to the event title (e.g., Event Title R1). This count increases with each revisit.
Linking: Linked incidents appear in a separate section of the Issues tab. These incidents are read-only, and only users with access to the original event can edit them.
Cross-navigation: Linked incidents show the name of the original or revisit event. You can click the event name to navigate between them.
Closing Linked Incidents
When a linked incident is marked as resolved in a revisit event, it automatically closes in the original event.
Unlinking and Relinking
Users can unlink an issue from an event and relink it to another event via the event drawer.
Closing a Revisit Event
When closing a revisit event, one of the following will occur:
All linked incidents are closed and no new incidents exist: the revisit closes normally.
All linked incidents are closed, but new incidents exist: user is prompted to create another revisit.
Some linked incidents remain open: user is prompted to create another revisit.
