Keeping project files organized

How to add and manage files on a project in Vantage.

The Docs tab on a project drawer stores all files related to that project. Files are automatically organized into event folders, so your team can find what they need without manually searching through everything.

Adding files to a project

To add a file, open the project and go to the Docs tab. Click + Add and select the file from your device.

You can switch between list and grid views using the toggle in the top-right corner of the Docs tab.

How files are organized

Files on the Docs tab are organized into folders by event. Each event in the project has its own folder, and any files attached to that event appear there automatically.

This means your field team always sees the right files for each event without you needing to organize them manually.

File visibility

Each file has a Visibility setting that controls who can see it. Files can be set to be visible only to your internal team or also to the client through the Client Portal.

Files do not need to be uploaded multiple times. Anything saved on the client or asset is automatically visible to your Lite users from the event's Docs tab.

FAQ

Can my team see project files from within an event?

No. Files added directly to the project's Docs tab are stored on the project and are not tied to a specific event.

Can my client see the files on the project?

Only files with the Visibility set to include the client will be visible to them through the Client Portal. Files set to internal only are not visible to the client.

What file types are supported?

Vantage supports standard document and image file types. If you are having trouble uploading a specific file type, let us know the file type and size and we can check if there are any restrictions on your workspace.
