How to log a shortage when materials are missing or the wrong quantity arrives.

Log a shortage when materials are missing, or the wrong quantity arrives on site. Shortages are separate from incidents and are tracked under their own section in the Issues tab.

Logging a shortage from the dashboard

  1. Open the event.

  2. Go to the Issues tab.

  3. Scroll to the Shortages section and click + Add shortage.

  4. Enter the item name or description and the quantity missing.

  5. Click Save.

Logging a shortage from the mobile app

  1. Open the event from your events list.

  2. Tap the Issues tab.

  3. Tap + Add shortage in the Shortages section.

  4. Enter the item name and quantity.

  5. Tap Save.

FAQ

What is the difference between a shortage and an incident?

A shortage is specifically about missing or insufficient materials. An incident covers other problems such as damage, access issues, installer errors, and so on. Both are in the Issues tab but tracked separately.

Can I log a shortage without a quantity?

No. Both the item name and quantity are required to save a shortage.

Can I edit or delete a shortage after saving it?

Yes. Open the event's Issues tab, find the shortage, and click to edit or delete it.
