It does not cover how to set product prices by market—for that : Markets, currencies, and product prices on The Oblist
1. What currency Oblist uses for many money movements
For core vendor payouts and related Stripe movements Oblist operates with, the platform’s payment flows are built around euros (EUR)—for example transfers to connected accounts and commission handling are specified in EUR in the payment integration.
That means your earnings calculation on Oblist is generally thought of in EUR, even if the original order was shown to the buyer in another currency on the storefront.
2. What you may see on your bank account
The amount that arrives in your bank can still be in another currency or subject to your bank’s conversion, depending on:
how your Stripe Connect (or equivalent) account is configured,
the currency of the bank account you attached, and
Stripe and your bank’s settlement rules.
Oblist does not expose a separate “convert my payout to my local currency” toggle in the vendor dashboard for that final hop—that layer is between Stripe and your bank.
3. Orders in non-euro display currencies
Customers may pay or see prices in non-EUR currencies on the shop front (see the markets and pricing article). Oblist still reconciles vendor-facing payout logic in EUR internally for the flows described above. If a line item needed a conversion rate for accounting, that rate is stored on the order side for reporting—not something you edit per payout as a vendor.
4. Who to ask for what
Topic | Contact |
Payout timing, missing transfer, wrong amount in Oblist | |
Bank statement currency, FX fee on arrival | Your bank + Stripe dashboard for the connected account |
VAT / invoices / accounting | vendors@oblist.com or your finance contact as already agreed with Oblist |
5. Good practices
In Stripe (vendor Connect onboarding), keep your payout bank account details accurate.
Compare Oblist payout / invoice figures in EUR with your bank deposit; small differences may be normal FX or fees.
Export or save payout and invoice emails for your records.
