How to Connect a Brother QL-820NWB Printer to an iPad via Bluetooth

Before You Begin

Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your printer.
Disable Template Mode on the printer:

  1. Press the [Menu] button.

  2. Navigate to Template Settings > Template Mode.

  3. Use [▲] and [▼] buttons to select Off, then press [OK].

Enable Printer Discovery on Your iPad

When connecting via WiFi or Bluetooth, your iPad will prompt you to allow device discovery.
Tap "Allow Always" to enable the iPad to detect the printer.

How to Connect Your Printer via Bluetooth

1️⃣ Log in to your VMC iPad application using your credentials.
2️⃣ Go to the Settings tab at the bottom of the screen.
3️⃣ Tap Bluetooth Search and Pair.


4️⃣ Wait for the iPad to detect the printer, then select it from the list.

  • If the printer is not found, try the following: Tap Cancel, then retry Bluetooth Search & Pair. Turn Bluetooth off and on on your printer, then try again.

5️⃣ Once paired, select your printer from the available list under Printer.


6️⃣ Tap Print Test to confirm that the devices are properly connected.

Important Notes

📌An iPad can only connect to one printer at a time via Bluetooth or WiFi.

📌Multiple iPads can connect to the same WiFi printer.

📌Bluetooth connections are one-to-one, meaning a single iPad can connect to only one printer at a time via Bluetooth.
