How to: Set Up Bluetooth for a Brother QL-820NWB Printer

Follow the steps below to set up your Bluetooth Brother QL-820NWB Printer

Enable Bluetooth on Printer

  1. Press the [Menu] button to view the main menu.

  2. Using the [▲] and [▼] buttons, select Bluetooth > Bluetooth (On/Off) > On in the settings menu, then press [OK].

  3. Using the [▲] and [▼] buttons, select Bluetooth > Automatic Reconnection > On in the settings menu, then press [OK].

  4. Press the back [↩] button to return to the main screen.

  5. You should then see the Bluetooth symbol in the top right corner.

Connect Printer to iPad

  1. On your iPad, open the iOS Settings app. Go to Settings > Bluetooth.

  2. Ensure that Bluetooth is turned ON.

  3. Under Devices, look for Brother QL-820NWBxxxx, like “Brother QL-820NWB1234.”

  4. If you are already connected to the printer, select the (i) icon located on the right and select "Forget this device" and navigate back to the Settings > Bluetooth menu. After this step, you may have to close the Settings app and open it again in order for the printer to show up again.

  5. Select the printer under Devices and connect to the printer.

  6. Make sure the Brother QL-820NWB printer is paired/connected.

  7. Close the iPad Settings app.

  8. Open the Visitu Kiosk app and click on the Settings icon located at the top right corner of the screen in Kiosk Mode.

  9. Select Settings from the sidebar menu.

  10. Select Printer Configuration from the menu.

  11. Visitu Kiosk will search for printers that are connected to the same network as the iPad.

  12. The printer that you previously connected should appear on this menu once the app is done searching. The printer's Serial Number should appear next to the name.

  13. Press the name of the printer you'd like to connect to the iPad.

  14. You may now test the connection between the iPad and the printer by pressing the name of the printer and tapping the Test Print button.

  15. If you have printed successfully, the iPad is connected and ready to print.
