If no tag rules are defined for a project template, a user is allowed to freely select from any of the tags or tag groups available in the tags admin section of the customer's side of the relationship. Learn more about creating tags as a company admin by visiting the Tags guide.

For each project template in the Master Admin section a set of tag rules can be defined. A company admin can decide which of the defined Tag groups are required for a project of the given type.

It is also possible to customise each level of each tag group to allow for single or multiple-choice. If you are a customer-side company admin and wish to add a set of rules to a project template, simply navigate to the project template admin section and define them.

You can choose to either add these rules to a new template or edit an existing one.

Once you're happy with your configuration, don't forget to save and confirm your changes. If any of these changes impact existing projects, the app will inform you both in the information banner and in the confirmation message.

Once the rules are defined, they will be clearly displayed to any user when they choose to create a project using the given template.

The single-choice rule is visualized with a radio button and multiple choice with checkboxes. Once the criteria for a tag group are met, this will be indicated with a green checkbox:

Only when all of the criteria are met the user can save their selected tags.

If a user attempts to save the project with an invalid tag selection, the guide messages will indicate this by turning red.
