How does the Email Finder work? What is Dropcontact?

All you need to know about the Email Finder feature

Updated over a week ago

Waalaxy allows you to engage in multichannel prospecting by transitioning to cold-emailing through email enrichment. This enables you to contact a prospect via email who has not accepted your connection request on LinkedIn.

To conduct cold-emailing campaigns, you need the email address of your prospect.

This is why we have integrated DropContact, the leading tool on the market for email enrichment. ✅

Good to know

We offer the possibility to enrich emails without having a subscription with Dropcontact. 🔥

What is email enrichment?

Email enrichment involves finding an email address using information such as a prospect's first name, last name, and company, allowing you to contact this person directly.

There are two main types of email enrichment:

  1. Those that work with databases.

  2. Those based on semantics.

DropContact uses the semantic method. An algorithm combines various possible email formats using the first name, last name, and company website, then tests if these emails are valid. This method has several advantages:

  • It complies with GDPR.

  • It is based on up-to-date data because it systematically verifies that the email exists and uses LinkedIn data provided by users, which are regularly updated.

How does Dropcontact email enrichment with Waalaxy work?

The credits

In Waalaxy, credits serve as our internal currency, exclusively utilized for operating our Email Finder tool. ✉️

Our Email Finder integrates with Dropcontact, enabling you to enrich your prospects' profiles with professional email addresses.

1 credit spent = 1 email address found.

How many emails can I recover per month with this feature?

  • On the Freemium version or the Advanced plan, we offer 25 monthly credits so you can try this feature, but you can also purchase additional credits.

  • On the Business plan, we offer 500 monthly credits. You can also purchase additional credits.

Similar to quotas, your credits reset monthly, coinciding with your subscription anniversary. ☝️

⚠️ Accumulation or rollover of credits between months is not feasible.

The enrichment

Waalaxy integrates the possibility, in many of the available sequences, to go through an enrichment step that directly calls the Dropcontact API based on the LinkedIn info just retrieved. 👇

The operation is quite simple and does not require any action on your part, besides adding your prospects to a campaign with an "Email Finder" step:

  • When the prospect reaches the enrichment step, we send his first name, last name, and company website to Dropcontact, which searches for and returns an email if it is found.

💡 Good to know

  • If no email is retrieved by Dropcontact, no credits are deducted. ☝️

  • If the email is found, the prospect will proceed to the "Has email" part of the sequence, and if not found, to the "Has no email" part.

Launching an Email Finder campaign 🚀

You can use these credits by launching an Email Finder campaign:

  • Click on the Start a campaign button.

  • Select "Email Finder".

  • Start creating the campaign.

Where are emails found with the Email Finder?

You can find the email addresses in each profile's page.

In your prospects lists, you can filter with Has a LinkedIn email or Has a pro email from the Email filter.

💡 Good to know

You can export all those prospects into a CSV file after selecting them to have the email list.

Email Finder — enrichment rate vs. number of success

When one of your prospects goes through an Email Finder campaign, and you already have their personal LinkedIn email (because you're connected to them):

  • If a professional email is found, then this is the one that will be used first and foremost for sending emails. ✉️

  • If no professional email is found, the “Has email” step is still validated with Success, allowing the prospect to move forward in the sequence.
