💡 Syncing Gmail with Waalaxy through SMTP allows you to:
Send emails to your prospects on your behalf, with no additional cost.
Directly connect via email with prospects on LinkedIn or enriched through DropContact.
Configuration steps
Step 0: Enable two-factor authentication (Gmail pro accounts only)
If you’re using a Gmail Pro account (@yourdomain.com), the administrator must enable two-factor authentication. If you are the administrator, enable it by visiting this page 👇.
⚠️ If you’re not the administrator, contact the person responsible in your company.
Step 1: Enable two-step verification
To authorize Waalaxy to access your Gmail account, Google requires that two-step verification is activated:
Go to this link.
Click "Get Started" and follow the instructions.
Ensure that two-step verification is Active.
Step 2: Create an app password for Waalaxy
Once two-step verification is enabled, create an app password for Waalaxy:
Visit this page.
Select "Select App > Other (Custom name)" and enter a name, e.g., "Waalaxy."
Click Generate to get your app password.
⚠️ You are not permitted to use your personal password on third-party sites.
Step 3: Link your Waalaxy account to Gmail
Use the generated app password to connect your Waalaxy account with Gmail.
💡 Good to Know
For professional accounts, ensure IMAP access is enabled and allow less secure apps:
Open the Forward and POP/IMAP tab in your Gmail settings.
In IMAP Access, select Enable IMAP.
Save changes.
And that’s it! Your Gmail account is now configured, secure, and ready to use in Waalaxy! 🚀
